Starts off with no sound bridge, immediately setting up the relation between the two main characters.
The music behind suggests no threat, but an upbeat and enjoyable movie. The two characters are clearly old friends, with close up camera work making it more intimate.
The urban environment is very plausible in my own trailer, with no colour or lighting, all neutral and dark colours.
The music kicks in at 45 seconds in, no longer the lighter upbeat soundtrack, now slight off key piano, making the mood much more sinister. There is then a series of voiceovers, as shots of drug deals take place, with snippets of conversations between dealers and clients. The music changes again to develop the act, showing a point of realisation for the main character - shifty.
Act one consists of the friendship between the characters. This is interrupted with a boom and fade from black to set up act 2.
Act 2 is then the development of the problem, with cuts of conversations and drug deals, revealing the main plot of the film.
Act 3 then continues to show a montage of shots throughout the film, interrupted by the titles in bold black text on yellow background.
Lots of different shots are used to build relations between characters, yet the location barely changes, that being urban and full coloured. The editing pick up in act 2, and continues like this into act 3, which contrasts the 'happy' mood and slow editing to start.
Set in the present day this trailer is relatable and doable in temrs of what I could achieve in my coursework.
